It’s a common misconception that cigar smoking is less risky than cigarette smoking.

This is not true –  (Both can be harmful if used in EXCESS)

Cigars may not safer than cigarettes, but because they are used differently, the health hazards do differ somewhat –

THE PROBLEM LIES IN EXCESS & ABUSIVE USE OF NICOTINE – NOT UNLIKE ALCOHOL!

Cigar Smoking vs. Cigarette Smoking

IT IS ALL IN THE PROCESSING!

There are a couple of key differences between smoking cigars and cigarettes:

THE CAFO-GMO SAD AMERICAN DIET!

Devoid of Unaltered Plant Protein & Seafood Protein (not fed GMO)

Food in American is compromised & UNLESS CONSIDERED IN RESEARCH – NULLIFIES ANY RESEARCH DONE SINCE THE 90’S – When GMO Alfalfa, GMO Corn or GMO Soy was fed to the animals we eat – WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE!!!

  • Approximately 75 percent of cigar smokers don’t inhale and don’t smoke cigars on a daily basis.
  • CAFO-GMO MODERNCigarette smokers do inhale, and most smoke 20, 30 or more cigarettes every day.

These differences in smoking habits explain why cigar smokers are generally exposed to less of the poisons and carcinogens present in cigars than cigarette smokers are too similar toxins in cigarettes. It’s also why there are fewer instances of cigar smoking-related disease and death than we typically see with CAFO-GMO altered cigarettes.

Let’s take a look at a few of the important facts about cigars and cigar smoking. Some of them might surprise you.

Key Facts About Cigar Smoking

1. One cigar may contain as much tobacco as an entire pack of ‘Modern’ processed cigarettes. A single cigarette typically has less than a gram of tobacco, while a single cigar may contain as much as 5 to 17 grams of tobacco.

2. Cigars CAN BE addictive – IF ABUSED OR OVERUSED!   Cigar smoke breaks down in saliva, allowing the smoker to easily absorb nicotine through the lining of the mouth in quantities sufficient to cause addiction, even if the smoke is not inhaled.

And, the amount of nicotine in a single cigar is many times greater than what is found in a cigarette.

A typical cigarette contains one to two milligrams of nicotine, while the nicotine content of a cigar is 100 to 200 milligrams.

Some cigars contain as much as 400 milligrams of nicotine.

3. SOME Cigar smoke is more concentrated and possibly more toxic than cigarette smoke. Some can be Aromatherapy! Secondhand smoke from cigars varies from that of Modern CAFO-GMO cigarettes for a couple of reasons.

Natural tobacco from Indian Reservations-may have health benefits if not used in EXCESS!

First, the manufacturing process for cigars requires a fermentation period. During this time, high concentrations of tobacco-specific nitrosamines (TSNAs) are produced. TSNAs are some of the most carcinogenic compounds known to man.

Secondly, cigar wrappers are not as porous as cigarette wrappers, making the combustion of a cigar less complete. These two factors result in higher concentrations of some of the toxic chemicals in cigars than in cigarettes.

(A well armed Immune system may detox & prevent damage.  CAFO-GMO SAD Diet does is notorious for autoimmune diseases & cancer, etc.

4. Smoking one cigar a day may increase the risk of cancer … (UNLESS IMMUNE SYSTEM IS WELL ARMED).

Cigar smoking has been linked to several different cancers (IN THE AMERICAN CAFO-GMO MENTALITY (FOR PROFIT!), most notably those of the oral cavity, which include lip, tongue, mouth, throat, and larynx. Cigar smokers who inhale are also at an increased risk for lung cancer, cancers of the pancreas and bladder, as well as heart and lung disease.

5. Cigar and pipe smokers (not naming the sources of tobacco)  are at risk for early tooth loss. (DEPENDS ON CAFO-GMO HYGNE PRACTICES!

In a study (questionable-not take into consideration the CAFO-GMO SAD American diet) published in the January 1999 (JUST AFTER GMO ALFALFA, CORN & SOY practice began feeding GMO to animals!

This study may need to be revisited!!

Issue of the Journal of the American Dental Association,(FEAR MONGERING – A BUSINESS MODEL)  it was discovered that cigar and pipe smokers are at an increased risk for early tooth loss, compared to that of their nonsmoking counterparts. (CAFO-GMO SAD MENTALITY) Cigar and pipe smokers are also at an increased risk for alveolar bone (the bone that holds the tooth in place) loss.

6. Cigar smoking has been linked to erectile dysfunction in men. (so also can consuming CAFO-GMO MEAT & MODERN DAIRY !!)

OVER 50 – METABOLISM SHIFTS & NO LONGER REQUIRES SO MUCH ANIMAL MEAT (MUSCLE) but connective TISSUE,  organ meat -to repair –

Unless a laborer or athlete!

The CNS needs NonGMO ‘UNALTERED’ (by heat- Pasteurization & Roasting of raw nuts)…

Smokers are twice as likely to be impotent as nonsmokers due to the adverse effects smoking has on circulation, hormones and the nervous system. Cigar smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke, in particular, have been shown to be significant risk factors for erectile dysfunction.

Can Nicotine Replacement Therapy Help Cigar Smokers Quit?

Why Quit – just taper back to a normal healthy level that benefits the Body & Mind!

There hasn’t been a lot of research done on the effectiveness of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) as a quit aid for cigar smokers.

However, if you feel that you’ve become physically dependent on cigars, you might be addicted to nicotine and NRTs could potentially help. Step back & considering tapering off to a more healthy level and work out a plan that suits you best.

A Word From Verywell

Remember, IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO USE TOBACCO  “safe” tobacco product.

MOST forms of tobacco have risks (especially if processed for ‘PROFIT” & cigars are the same. Reduce exposure to CAFO-GMO processed cigars &  avoid the secondhand smoke they produce.

Gateway to Tobacco Use – Other option:

Like bidi cigarettes, it’s not uncommon for clove cigarettes to be a young person’s first introduction to tobacco. Between the spiced flavor of cloves and colorful packaging, this type of cigarette is aimed directly at young smokers and is considered a “gateway” product.

Clove cigarettes became rather popular in the United States among young people in the early 1980s, particularly in California high schools and universities. The trend peaked in 1984 when imports into the United States, mainly from Indonesia, totaled 150 million cigarettes per year.

The trend began to reverse in 1985 as evidence suggested that cloves cigarettes were more harmful than originally imagined. In 2009, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) took action by prohibiting cigarettes with any flavor other than tobacco or menthol, which implicitly included cigarettes made with clove or clove oil.

The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act of 2009 was implemented to deter kids from getting started with tobacco. Sweet flavors added to cigarettes soften the harsh taste of tobacco smoke, easing new smokers into what often becomes a lifelong struggle with nicotine addiction.
